Traditionally, a mala consists of 108 stones, but it can also be made shorter; the important rule to follow is that they are multiples of nine. A short mala with 8 mm stones allows for easy counting during meditation and is also easier to wear, being lighter than the classic "full mala" with 108 stones of 8 mm.

Composed and knotted entirely by hand with natural, untreated, or colored stones. Composition: 81 natural precious stones 0,315" stones (8 mm) , super-resistant waxed thread, steel, and nickel and lead-free alloy. Mala length 32" (80 cm) + tassel 5" (12 cm). The tassel is adjustable.
